Nothing to launch Phone 1 without charger

The internet is flooded with rumours and updates about the upcoming Nothing Phone (1). The latest rumour about Phone (1) indicates that the Nothing Phone (1) will be launched without a charger.

The UK-based tech company is all set to launch Nothing Phone (1) globally on July 12.

The upcoming device by Nothing is said to be priced between Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 40,000.  One of the sensors from its dual rear camera setup is expected to be equipped with a wide-angle lens. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Nothing Phone 1 offers a good camera performance for its price point. He further says that the ultra-wide sensor of Nothing Phone (1) can take macros. Hence they have eliminated those 2MP sensors.

Furthermore, the previously reported under-display fingerprint sensor is now believed to be an ultrasonic one.

Nothing founder Carl Pei has already confirmed that the Phone 1 will be powered by a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. The much-anticipated smartphone is likely to feature a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup. Reports have claimed that the smartphone will come up with a 6.55-inch OLED display with support for up to a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Furthermore, for protection of the rear panel and the display, the device is expected to have Gorilla Glass. The smartphone is said to run on Android 12 out of the box.

Expected to be launched in three storage versions, the Nothing Phone (1) is likely to carry a price tag of Rs 38,000 for the base8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. While the top-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage might be priced Rs 44,000 and Rs. 40,000, respectively.

Featuring illuminating light strips on the rear of the phone, Nothing Phone (1) is being promoted as a design marvel with a back that appears to be made from a transparent material. Compared with other brands such as realme that offer better specs in the mid-range segment, it will be interesting to see if the upcoming Nothing Phone (1) will be able to compete with those already available in the market.

Nothing Phone (1) is among those five high-profile smartphones that will define the second half of 2022. In addition to Nothing Phone (1), iPhone 14 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, OnePlus 10T, and Xiaomi 12s Ultra are scheduled to be launched this year.
