Nothing Phone (3a) Lite has been officially introduced in India, marking the company’s first-ever ‘Lite’ edition. It is also Nothing’s most affordable smartphone yet and the brand’s entry into the highly competitive sub-Rs 25,000 smartphone category. Positioned below the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, the Phone (3a) Lite aims to deliver Nothing’s signature design and smooth software experience at a more budget-friendly price. Here’s all about the new Nothing smartphone, starting with price.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite starts at Rs. 20,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The higher 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 22,999. With launch offers, the phone can be purchased at effective prices of Rs. 19,999 and Rs. 21,999, respectively, using ICICI Bank and OneCard offers.
The smartphone will be available in Black, Blue, and White colour options.
Sales begin on December 5 through Flipkart, Vijay Sales, Croma, and major retail outlets across the country.
Despite belonging to the 3a series, the Phone (3a) Lite takes its design cues from the flagship Phone (3). The device drops the familiar Glyph Matrix and instead features a single Glyph Light placed at the bottom-right corner. It continues the company’s signature transparent look with a glass back and the clean, minimalistic aesthetic Nothing phones are known for.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite sports a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits, making it one of the brightest screens in its segment. Panda Glass offers protection on the front.
Powering the handset is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, the same processor seen in the CMF Phone 2 Pro. It comes paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded by up to 2TB.
The device runs Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15, and the company has confirmed that Nothing OS 4.0 based on Android 16 will arrive in early 2026. Users will receive two more major OS updates and six years of security updates, longer support than most smartphones in this segment.
In a first for the brand, Instagram and Facebook come pre-installed on the device, though users can uninstall them. The phone also integrates Nothing’s AI-powered Essential Space to help users manage content more efficiently.
For photography, the Phone (3a) Lite features a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP main sensor with EIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. It can shoot 4K videos at 30fps and offers up to 10x digital zoom. On the front, a 16MP camera handles selfies.
The device houses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP54 dust and splash resistance, and a bottom-firing speaker.
