Pre-orders are already open on Nothing’s official website and through select partners. The earbuds will go on sale starting September 25, 2025. For now, pricing and availability are confirmed for the US, UK, and Europe with wider release details expected soon.

Nothing Ear (3) – Key Features

The Nothing Ear (3) comes equipped with 12mm dynamic drivers, offering improved bass, treble, and a wider soundstage. The earbuds include in-ear detection, Low Lag Mode, and an 8-band Equalizer for customizable sound. Connectivity is handled through Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC support, although this time the earbuds drop LHDC 5.0, which was available in the previous generation.

For noise control, the Nothing Ear (3) provides up to 45dB ANC, adjustable across four modes. Users also get a transparency mode and Clear Voice Technology supported by a triple-microphone setup. What sets these earbuds apart is the brand’s new Super Mic technology.

Using a bone-conduction Voice Pick-up Unit (VPU), the earbuds detect micro-vibrations from the jaw and ear canal for enhanced voice clarity. Interestingly, the charging case itself doubles as a microphone, thanks to its built-in dual mic system.

Nothing claims this system can filter ambient noise up to 95dB, enabling users to record voice notes directly from the case into Nothing’s Essential Space app. The charging case now features a refreshed metallic design with a transparent lid, adding to the brand’s signature aesthetic. On top of that, the earbuds integrate AI-based noise cancellation and even include ChatGPT support, similar to the Nothing Ear (a).

On a full charge, the earbuds deliver up to 10 hours of playback without ANC, which reduces to 5.5 hours with ANC on. Combined with the charging case, users get up to 38 hours of total battery life (22 hours with ANC). The case also supports Qi wireless charging and provides 10 hours of playback with just 10 minutes of charging.

For controls, the Ear (3) adopts pinch controls similar to Apple’s AirPods Pro, allowing users to play/pause, skip tracks, answer or reject calls, adjust ANC and transparency modes, control volume, and activate voice assistants.

Additional highlights include AAC and SBC codec support, Hi-Res Audio, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual-device connection, Static Spatial Audio, and an IP54 rating for both earbuds and case, ensuring protection against dust and splashes.
