Nothing confirms to launch Phone (1) on July 12

After lot of speculations and hype, the UK-based consumer-tech company Nothing has finally announced its plan to launch Phone (1) next month. According to the latest update, the Phone (1) will be launched on July 12. The company has been teasing the device for some time now and has finally revealed the launch date.

A post on the official website of Nothing reads ‘We invite you to unlearn. And undo.’ It begins with phone (1). It begins with Nothing. And you. The launch event can be watched online on July 12 at 20.30 IST.

Availability in India

The upcoming smartphone will be available in India through online marketplace Flipkart. While in the UK and Germany the Nothing Phone 1 will debut exclusively on O2 and Telekom Deutschland, respectively.

Last year, Nothing partnered with Flipkart for selling the Nothing Ear 1 earbuds. Nothing Ear 1 truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds is the first offering to the market last year.

Nothing has already confirmed that the Nothing Phone 1 will run a custom Android version called Nothing OS and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC.

A dedicated webpage to tease the launch of the upcoming phone through its marketplace has already been created by the Flipkart.

Nothing had earlier launched the ear (1) truly wireless earbuds and the phone (1) is expected to feature a similar transparent design.

According to reports, the Nothing phone (1) is likely to come with a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution. It may feature minimal side bezels and a small chin and feature an HDR10+ display and a 90Hz refresh rate.

The Nothing phone (1) is expected to run on Android 12 out of the box with the company’s custom skin on top.
