Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next clamshell foldable, the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, later this month in China. But if you were hoping for a new horizontally foldable Mix Fold this year, you might have to wait a bit longer.
According to tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the brand is planning a major comeback for its Xiaomi Mix Fold line with some notable upgrades. However, the launch is being planned for next year.

Next Xiaomi Mix Fold To Get Snapdragon Chip
It’s still not clear if the new foldable will be called the Xiaomi Mix Fold 6 or something else. What we do know from the leak is that the phone will feature a new aspect ratio and major improvements over the previous model.
Smart Pikachu also revealed that the device is currently being tested with a Snapdragon chip. However, the specific details of the upgrades haven’t been shared yet.

Interestingly, Xiaomi is also working on a tri-foldable smartphone, similar to the Huawei Mate XT. This device is expected to launch in Q1 2026 and goes by the codename “zhuque”, with the model number 26013VP46C.
What’s not confirmed is whether this tri-foldable will replace the Mix Fold line entirely or if Xiaomi will launch two foldable phones next year, a traditional horizontally foldable Mix Fold and a tri-foldable version.
Mix Flip 2, Redmi K80 Ultra and More Launching This Month
Aside from the Mix Fold plans, Xiaomi is also set to unveil multiple devices this June in China. The Mix Flip 2 is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi will also launch the Redmi K80 Ultra powered by the Dimensity 9400+ and a new gaming tablet aimed at competing with Red Magic’s upcoming tablet and Lenovo’s Legion Y700 (Gen 4).
