Motorola has unveiled three new G-Series entry-level smartphones – the Moto G15, Moto G15 Power and Moto G05. All three smartphones are aimed at budget-conscious users with their most standout feature being large batteries and the latest Android 15 pre-installed.
Here’s everything you need to know about the three models.
The Moto G15 and G15 Power share many similarities. Both phones feature a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a punch-hole cutout for the 8 MP selfie camera. The rear cameras include a 50 MP main sensor and a 5 MP ultrawide lens making them suitable for everyday photography.
Under the hood, both models are powered by the Helio G81 chipset, an LTE-only processor with a 2 GHz octa-core CPU and 4 GB of RAM. Storage options include 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB with an option to expand via a microSD card.
In terms of battery, the Moto G15 Power packs a larger 6,000 mAh battery, while the G15 has a 5,200 mAh capacity. The extra battery size makes the Power model slightly thicker (8.8 mm vs. 8.2 mm) and heavier (203g vs. 190g).
Other features include dual SIM support, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM radio and NFC support.
The phones come in three colours – Gravity Gray, Iguana Green and Sunrise Orange, all featuring vegan leather back panels for a premium feel.
The Moto G05 shares the same Helio G81 chipset and overall footprint as the Moto G15 but comes with a smaller 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display. It also has a punch-hole cutout for the 8 MP selfie camera.
The rear camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor, but instead of an ultrawide lens, it has a basic auxiliary sensor. The phone offers 4 GB of RAM and storage options of 64 GB or 128 GB, expandable via microSD.
Additional features include IP54 splash resistance, Bluetooth 5.4, dual SIM support, and NFC availability (region-specific).
The Moto G05 is slightly lighter at 189g and comes in two colours including Forest Green and Plum Red.
Motorola hasn’t revealed pricing or launch dates yet.
However, as per the Motorola announcement press note, the newly unveiled phones will be available in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia-Pacific regions.
