Motorola has officially confirmed the India launch timeline for its upcoming premium smartphone, the Motorola Signature. The company has already started teasing key design elements of the handset. Official social media posts and a dedicated Flipkart microsite reveal that the smartphone will feature a fabric-finished rear panel and a flat display with slim bezels. Here’s what we know about the phone so far.
Motorola Signature India Launch date officially confirmed.
On X, Motorola India announced that the Motorola Signature will be launched in India on January 7, 2026. The smartphone is being positioned as a premium offering. While the live Flipkart microsite highlights several aspects of the phone’s design, it stops short of disclosing detailed hardware specifications.
Separately, Motorola’s global X account posted a teaser mentioning January 6, 2026 as the unveiling date globally.
According to the official teasers and the Flipkart microsite, the Motorola Signature will sport a fabric-finished back panel. On the front, the handset will feature a flat display with evenly slim bezels and a centrally placed hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.
The volume rocker and power button are located on the right edge of the phone. An additional button is visible on the left edge, which could function as a dedicated camera key or a customisable shortcut, possibly for AI features or other quick actions.
Motorola has also showcased the rear camera module of the Signature. The teaser image suggests that the smartphone will include a periscope telephoto lens, indicating a strong focus on advanced photography capabilities.
The Motorola Signature was earlier reported to have appeared on Geekbench. The listing showed the device scoring 2,854 points in single-core and 9,411 points in multi-core tests. It revealed a processor configuration with two cores clocked at 3.80GHz and six cores at 3.32GHz, paired with an Adreno 829 GPU. These details point towards the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC.
The benchmark data also indicated 16GB of RAM and Android 16 running out of the box.
Meanwhile, previous leaks suggest that the Motorola Signature could support stylus input and may be offered in Carbon and Martini Olive colour options. The triple rear camera setup is expected to include 50-megapixel sensors featuring a primary Sony Lytia sensor with optical image stabilisation.
