Motorola is all set to launch its first-ever book-style foldable smartphone, the Motorola Razr Fold, in India tomorrow i.e. May 13. Unlike the brand’s earlier Razr flip-style foldables, the new Razr Fold will feature a book-like folding mechanism to unfold the device into a larger tablet-style screen. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the launch.
Motorola is expected to reveal the official India pricing, sale details and availability of Razr Fold during the launch event scheduled for 12:00 PM on May 13.
The company will livestream the Razr Fold launch event across its official social media channels, YouTube, Flipkart and the company’s official website.
As per current reports, the Motorola Razr Fold price in India could start at around Rs 1,10,000 for the base variant. The higher-end model with more RAM and storage may be priced close to Rs 1,40,000.
Ahead of the launch, Motorola has also confirmed several launch offers for buyers. Customers using ICICI Bank or SBI credit cards will get an instant discount of Rs 1,000 on the purchase of the Motorola Razr Fold.
Buyers making payments through Mobikwik UPI can receive a cashback of Rs 1,500.

The Motorola Razr Fold will launch in two Pantone-inspired colour options including Pantone Lilly White with a satin-inspired finish and Pantone Blackened Blue featuring a diamond pique-inspired finish.
Motorola is also highlighting the smartphone’s creaseless folding design, which aims to reduce the visible fold line commonly seen on foldable devices.
The Motorola Razr Fold comes with two displays with the primary folding display measures 8.1 inches and offers a resolution of 2484 × 2232 pixels. The secondary cover display measures 6.6 inches with a resolution of 2520 × 1080 pixels.
The main inner screen uses an LTPO panel with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 6200 nits peak brightness. It is protected by UTG glass.
Meanwhile, the outer display features a pOLED panel supporting a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 6000 nits brightness. Motorola has protected the cover display using Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.
Motorola Razr Fold will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process technology. The processor is capable of reaching clock speeds of up to 3.8GHz and will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM.
The smartphone will run Hello UI based on Android 16. Motorola has promised 7 generations of Android OS upgrades along with 7 years of security updates.

For photography, the Motorola Razr Fold will feature a total of five cameras. The rear setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The foldable main display houses a 20-megapixel selfie camera, while the cover display gets a separate 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls when the device is folded.
The Motorola Razr Fold packs a large 6000mAh battery. The device supports 80W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wired charging. Available sensors include Fingerprint Reader, Proximity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor (Front & Rear), Accelerometer, Gyroscope, e-Compass, SAR Sensor, Barometer, Hall Sensor, Multi-Spectral Camera Assistant Sensor.
On the AI side, the foldable device will include Moto AI, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Perplexity integration for productivity and smart assistant features.
Motorola is also expected to launch the Motorola Pen Ultra alongside the foldable smartphone during the event.
