* Motorola Razr 40 Ultra specifications have leaked online.
* The handset is expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, an AMOLED display, and a large 3.5-inch cover screen.
* Motorola Razr 40 Ultra’s launch date is yet to be revealed.
Motorola is working on a new foldable Razr phone this year. There have been leaks and rumors suggesting that the company may release two models soon, with one being a high-end flagship and the other a more affordable “lite” alternative.
According to the latest report from XDA developers, exclusive specifications for the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra have been shared, while information about the non-Ultra model is still limited.
The upcoming Motorola Razr 40 Ultra boasts impressive specs, including a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage.
Its main display is a high refresh-rate AMOLED with HDR, expected to be either 120Hz or 144Hz, with a resolution of 2640×1080. The cover display is a 1056×1066 square display that allows for a number of customization options.
In terms of cameras, the device includes two outer cameras, a 12MP primary sensor, and a 13MP wide-angle camera, as well as a 32MP selfie camera. The device is also expected to have dual-SIM support, eSIM, and ultra-wideband support, as well as NFC and a fingerprint sensor.
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is expected to be available in three colors: “Barberry,” “Black,” and “Blue,” with “Barberry” matching leaks that suggest a more maroon-like color shade.
The device runs on Motorola’s Android variant, My UX, based on Android 13, and is equipped with a 3640mAh battery with 33W charging support.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra has been the star of many leaks in recent times. We have come across the promotional images of the foldable and some key specifications have also leaked too. The company is yet to announce the launch date but speculations are rife that the flagship might debut sometime this month. Now, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra’s complete specifications have surfaced online. As reported earlier, the foldable will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 and not the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset.
Check out the complete specifications.
* Main display: 2640×1080 AMOLED with HDR and expected refresh rate of 120Hz or 144Hz
* Cover display: 1056×1066 square display with customization options
* Cameras: Two outer cameras, 12MP primary sensor, 13MP wide-angle camera, 32MP selfie camera
* Processor: Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
* RAM: Up to 12GB
* Storage: Up to 512GB
* Battery: 3640mAh battery with 33W charging support
* SIM: Dual-SIM support, eSIM, and ultra-wideband support
* Other features: NFC and fingerprint sensor, half-opened hinge detection, Motorola’s Android variant My UX based on Android 13
Similar to its predecessor, the device has the ability to detect when it is half-opened on its hinge, allowing it to introduce features similar to Samsung’s flex mode.
The cover display can launch apps, with customization options available to change the layout, font, colors, and icon shapes. However, users should note that apps that are not designed for the external display may be difficult to use and may not function as expected.
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is expected to launch soon as leaks of the device have begun to surface. This suggests that the product is reaching more people and that the company is preparing for its release. Lenovo’s CEO has been teasing the launch since March, indicating that it may be just around the corner.
Previous leaks have also asserted that the cover display will have a number of customization options. Users will be able to change the layout of the front display, along with the ability to change fonts, colors, icon shapes, and even the display size.
We were also able to confirm that apps will be able to launch on the cover display, though this won’t be available for all applications by default. However, I spotted evidence that it would be possible to force apps to launch on the cover display. Below is what appears to be a warning that apps may not function correctly if you do use this feature.
