Motorola is all set for a huge global launch event in April 2026. The company plans to launch its new Razr foldables and the much-awaited Edge 70 Pro at this event. Motorola has confirmed that the Razr foldables will launch worldwide by the end of April, whereas the Edge 70 Pro will arrive a bit earlier, especially in India.
With these launches, Motorola aims to target both the premium foldable market as well as the upper mid-range segment at once.
Motorola plans to reveal its new devices in the last week of April 2026, with the Razr 2026 series as the main highlight. The Edge 70 Pro will launch first in India on April 22, and will become available in more markets soon after. By launching both products close together, Motorola can keep interest high in different categories.
The Razr 2026 series, which includes both a standard model and a higher-end Plus or Ultra version, is expected to offer better performance and efficiency. These phones will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The Razr foldable is expected to have a large 7-inch inner screen and a 4-inch cover screen, making it useful for both work and everyday tasks. The battery is rumoured to be between 4,700 mAh and 5,000 mAh, which should last longer than earlier models.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro looks set to be a strong option in the mid-premium range. It should have a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chip.
It may also include a large 6,500 mAh battery and strong durability ratings, such as IP68 and IP69, making it both powerful and tough.
Motorola is focusing on high-quality design and user experience for both new lineups. The Razr 2026 models should have stronger hinges and better foldable engineering, plus stylish finishes inspired by Pantone colours. Both the Razr and Edge phones are expected to run a near-stock version of Android, with AI features to boost performance and make them easier to use.
In terms of cameras, the Razr 2026 is likely to feature two 50MP rear cameras for high-quality photos, improved low-light performance, and AI enhancements. Meanwhile, the Edge 70 Pro may have three 50MP cameras, including a Sony LYTIA main sensor, an ultra-wide lense, and a high-res front camera for selfies and video calls.
The Razr 2026 is expected to start at about Rs. 50,000, which is fairly affordable for a foldable phone. The higher-end Razr Plus or Ultra model could cost over Rs. 1,00,000, depending on the features you choose.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro will likely cost around Rs. 31,999 in India, making it a strong choice in the mid-range premium market.
Motorola is aiming to grow in the foldable as well as regular smartphone segments with its April 2026 lineup. By offering better hardware, good prices, and new designs, the company hopes to attract more customers and compete with top brands in the premium segment.
The Razr 2026 foldable lineup is expected to launch globally by the end of April 2026.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is scheduled to launch on April 22, 2026, in India.
The Razr 2026 series may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the Edge 70 Pro is expected to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor.
The Razr 2026 could start around ₹50,000, the Razr Ultra may exceed ₹1,00,000, and the Edge 70 Pro is expected to be priced at approximately ₹31,999 in India.
