Motorola has officially launched the Motorola Edge 70 in India, expanding its Edge smartphone lineup. Commenting on the launch, T.M. The Motorola Edge 70 is priced at Rs. 29,999 in India for its single configuration with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Buyers can also avail a Rs. 1,000 bank discount when using select bank cards.
Sales will begin on December 23 via Flipkart, the Motorola India official online store, and offline retail outlets. The smartphone will be offered in Pantone Bronze Green, Pantone Gadget Grey, and Pantone Lily Pad colour variants.
Running Android 16 with Hello UI, the Motorola Edge 70 is confirmed to receive three major Android updates along with four years of security patches. It sports a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.
The device also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification.
It features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola has also bundled its Moto AI suite, which includes features such as Next Move, Catch Me Up 2.0, Pay Attention 2.0, Remember This + Recall, and Co-pilot.
On the camera front, the Edge 70 features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilisation, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a three-in-one light sensor. For selfies and video calls, it offers a 50-megapixel front camera. The phone supports video recording at up to 4K resolution at 60fps and includes AI-powered features like AI Video Enhancement, AI Action Shot, and AI Photo Enhancement.
There is a 5,000mAh silicon carbon battery, which Motorola claims can deliver up to 31 hours of “continuous video playback”. Charging options include 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
The handset is built around an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, measures just 5.99mm in thickness, and weighs approximately 159 grams.
