Motorola has officially launched the Moto X70 Air, its first smartphone in the new Air series, in China. The device stands out with an ultra-slim 5.99mm design, a lightweight 159g body, and a metal frame, all while maintaining IP68 and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance. Here’s more on the newly unveiled smartphones.
In terms of pricing, the Moto X70 Air is available in Gadget Grey, Lily Pad, and Bronze colour options. The 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at 2,599 yuan (approx. USD 365 / Rs. 32,205), while the 12GB + 512GB model costs 2,899 yuan (approx. USD 407 / Rs. 35,925).
The phone is currently up for pre-order and will officially go on sale in China starting October 31.
According to reports, Motorola is expected to introduce the Moto X70 Air in global markets under the name Motorola Edge 70.

The Moto X70 Air features a 6.7-inch 1.5K (2712 × 1220 pixels) 10-bit pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits. Under the hood, it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (4nm) processor paired with Adreno 722 GPU. The phone comes with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB, and it ships with Android 16 out of the box.
For photography, the device sports a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, along with a 50MP ultra-wide sensor offering a 120º field of view and support for 4K video recording at 30fps. On the front, it features a 50MP selfie camera, ensuring high-quality images and video calls.
The Moto X70 Air is powered by a 4800mAh battery that supports 68W TurboPower fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
Other highlights include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C audio, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and support for 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, and dual SIM (nano + nano) connectivity.
It also meets military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H) standards, emphasising its sturdy build despite the sleek profile.
