Motorola has quietly launched the Moto G100 Pro in China as a successor to the original Moto G100 that debuted globally in 2021. That earlier model was a rebranded Motorola Edge S, but reports suggest the newly launched Moto G100 Pro is a fresh model packed with solid mid-range features. Here’s everything you need to know about the phone.

Moto G100 Pro – Key Features

The phone features a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220), a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and includes an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The device runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset and comes in 8GB or 12GB RAM variants, with 256GB or 512GB of storage. It ships with Android 15 layered with Motorola’s Hello UI.

For audio, it comes with dual speakers powered by Dolby Atmos, offering an immersive sound experience.

On the front, the Moto G100 Pro sports a 32MP selfie camera. At the back, there’s a dual-camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, perfect for both detailed shots and wide scenes.

One of the highlights is its massive 6,720mAh battery, which supports 30W fast charging. It’s also built to last, boasting IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, along with MIL-STD 810H certification for durability. The phone weighs 198 grams and is 7.87mm thick.

In China, pricing starts at 1,399 Yuan (approx $195) for the 8GB + 256GB version, 1,499 Yuan (approx $210 or Rs 17,920) for 12GB + 256GB, and 1,699 Yuan (approx $240) for the 12GB + 512GB variant.

It’s available in four colour variants, which are Pine Smoke Blue, Tundra Blue, Clouds Ink Black, and Silk Purple.

Meanwhile, it is important to note that this phone is being marketed as the Moto G86 globally. The version with the 6,720mAh battery is called Moto G86 Power, while the regular Moto G86 comes with a 5,200mAh battery.
