Microsoft has officially rolled out three new Xbox Game Pass tiers, Essential, Premium, and Ultimate. All are aimed at catering to different types of players across console, PC, and cloud gaming. Alongside these updates comes a price hike with each plan now offering a larger game catalogue, enhanced rewards, and more in-game perks.
The company says the move is intended to provide “more value, more benefits, and more great games” to subscribers worldwide.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
The Ultimate tier has received its most extensive overhaul yet. Subscribers now get access to over 75 day-one titles annually, including blockbuster releases like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, High on Life 2, Keeper, Ninja Gaiden 4, and The Outer Worlds 2.

The overall library has grown to 400+ games, with 45+ new additions such as Blue Prince, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Additional Ultimate perks include –
- Fortnite Crew (starting November 18) with monthly V-Bucks and Battle Pass access.
- Ubisoft+ Classics featuring Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, and Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
- EA Play access bundled in.
- Upgraded cloud gaming with 1440p streaming, faster load times, and a full exit from “Beta.”
- Revamped Rewards program offering up to $100 yearly, 30% discounts on select Game Pass games, 4x points on purchases, 10% points back on add-ons, and up to 20% off Game Pass titles.
Xbox Game Pass Premium
Positioned between Essential and Ultimate, the Premium plan balances affordability and access.
It provides 200+ games across console, PC, and cloud, including fan favorites like Minecraft, Forza Horizon 5, Grand Theft Auto V, Diablo IV, and Hogwarts Legacy. First-party Xbox titles are added within a year of launch (except Call of Duty).
