Just days before Meta Connect 2025, an early video briefly posted on YouTube gave us our first proper look at the “Meta Ray-Ban Display” glasses. First spotted by UploadVR @UploadVR and later mirrored on X (formerly Twitter), the clip highlights the company’s continued partnership with EssilorLuxottica, keeping the Ray-Ban branding and classic styling but with key upgrades, most notably, an integrated display.

The leaked video shows the glasses featuring a monocular HUD placed over the right eye. The new model demonstrates various functions including the following –
- Using Meta AI voice commands
- Turn-by-turn navigation
- Reading and responding to messages
- Real-time translation of text in the real world
The glasses are also shown working with an sEMG wristband, which Meta previously referred to as a “Neural” wristband when demonstrating its Orion AR concept.
As for the design, the new glasses appear noticeably thicker around the temple area compared to the current Meta Ray-Ban models to accommodate the display technology. This design change was reportedly something EssilorLuxottica had initially “balked” at, according to earlier reports.
