Lava has launched its new entry-level smartphone Lava Yuva 4 in India in the under 7000 smartphone segment. The successor of Yuva 3 launched earlier this year, Lava Yuva 4 will be available for sale starting this month only via retail stores. The smartphone comes in two storage options including a 4GB RAM and 64GB and a 4GB + 128GB variant.
Commenting on the launch, Sumit Singh, Head-Product, Lava International Ltd. said:
The Yuva series has emerged as one of our most dynamic and sought-after smartphone ranges, designed to elevate the entry-level smartphone experience for our consumers. The latest addition, Yuva 4, embodies our commitment to delivering a seamless user journey, featuring new age design concepts and better value. Aligned with our product strategy, we are hopeful that Yuva 4 will bring unparalleled joy and functionality to our entry-segment consumers, redefining what they can expect from a budget smartphone.
The Yuva 4 boasts a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, ensuring fluid scrolling and animations. It’s powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset, which handles daily tasks and light gaming with ease.
It includes 4GB of RAM along with 4GB of virtual RAM, enhancing multitasking capabilities. Running Android 14 out of the box, the phone is confirmed to get an Android 15 update, adding longevity to its software support.
For photography enthusiasts, the Yuva 4 features a 50MP primary rear camera, capturing detailed and sharp images, while the 8MP front camera is perfect for selfies and video calls.
The Yuva 4 offers excellent value at an introductory price of Rs. 6,999 for the 64GB variant. The price of the higher 128GB storage variant has not been revealed.
It comes in Glossy White, Purple and Black colour options.
Lava is providing a 1-year warranty with free home service.
The phone will be available in Lava’s retail outlets starting November 2024.
The Yuva 4 builds on its predecessor with notable enhancements in camera quality and software. While the Yuva 3 came with Android 13, the Yuva 4 ships with Android 14 and is confirmed for an Android 15 update, ensuring longer software support.
The Yuva 4 features a 50MP main rear camera, a major leap from the 13MP camera on the Yuva 3. The Yuva 4 ditches the Yuva 3’s VGA and AI lenses for a simpler, more functional design.
On the front, it upgrades the selfie camera from 5MP to 8MP.
