Lava is adding another 5G smartphone to its lineup with the launch of Lava Virat Curve 5G in India. The smartphone will join the new Lava Virat smartphone series, which already has Lava Virat V1, Virat V1 5G, and Virat V1 Pro 5G. It comes with a curved AMOLED display, a large battery and a secondary screen on the back. The rear display can be used to show custom text and emojis as well as check notifications without requiring users to unlock the phone. Here’s more on the newly launched smartphone.

Lava Virat Curve 5G Price and Availability in India

The Lava Virat Curve 5G will be available to purchase through Flipkart from September 28.

It has been launched at ₹23,999 for its 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. However, buyers can bring the effective price down to ₹19,999 after applying the available bank discounts.

The phone comes in Ellora Slate, Heritage Indigo and Makrana Ivory colour options.

Lava Virat Curve 5G Display and Rear Screen

The Lava Virat Curve 5G features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080×2,400 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, has a pixel density of 394ppi and covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It is rated to reach up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness.

One of the phone’s key features is the small display placed on the rear panel. It can show the volume level, battery percentage, time, emojis and other notifications. Users can also set custom text and emojis on the secondary screen.

Lava Virat Curve 5G – Key Specifications

The Lava Virat Curve 5G is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor. It comes with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also supports an additional 6GB of virtual RAM.

On the software side, the handset runs Android 16. Lava has promised two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

A 6,000mAh battery powers the Lava Virat Curve 5G and it comes with support for 45W charging, although the handset comes with a 33W charger in the retail box. Lava claims that the phone can deliver up to 55 hours of talk time, 720 hours of standby time and up to 660 minutes of YouTube playback on a single charge.

For photography, the Lava Virat Curve 5G gets a 50-megapixel Sony IMX752 primary rear camera with electronic image stabilisation (EIS). A 13-megapixel front camera is provided for selfies and video calls, and it also supports screen flash.

The phone comes with a range of sensors and connectivity-related hardware including an IR blaster, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.

The Lava Virat Curve 5G carries MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification and has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
