Lava has added another smartphone to its Shark 2 lineup with the launch of the Shark 2 Pro 5G in India. The new model is the third device in the series following the Lava Shark 2 4G and Shark 2 5G. It comes with a 120Hz display, a 6,000mAh battery and 5G connectivity, along with a 50-megapixel rear camera. Here are more details.
Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G Price and Availability
Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G is available in a single configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, priced at Rs 16,699.
The smartphone is already available for purchase through multiple authorised Lava retail channels including both online and offline stores. It can be purchased in Akash Blue and Nanda Silver colour options.
Lava is also offering free doorstep phone service to customers across India.
Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G Key Specifications
The Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels. The panel supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The phone also carries an IP64 rating, which provides protection against dust and splashes.
Performance comes from the octa-core Unisoc T8200 chipset. Lava claims that the Shark 2 Pro 5G has scored more than 5,00,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform. The handset includes 6GB of physical RAM and supports virtual RAM expansion of up to another 6GB. Storage capacity stands at 128GB.
It is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs a clean version of Android 16 without additional bloatware. Lava has promised one Android OS upgrade and two years of security updates. The phone also comes with Vayu AI, the company’s own AI-powered chatbot.
The Shark 2 Pro 5G takes a simple approach to its rear camera setup featuring a single 50-megapixel AI camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone has an 8-megapixel front camera.
One of the camera features highlighted by Lava is Dual-View Video recording, which allows the phone to record using its front and rear cameras. The device can record videos at resolutions of up to 2K at 30 frames per second.
The Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G packs a 6,000mAh battery and supports 18W wired fast charging. Along with 5G, the connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.4. The phone also features a USB Type-C port.
