That’s not the only thing the tipser revealed. In the same X post, the tipster also shared a benchmark screenshot and claimed that an early test unit of the Pro Max variant achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of 36,12,095. The screenshot further reveals that the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s. It had a CPU score of 951,052 points and a GPU score of 1,452,620 points, based on AnTuTu version V11.0.3-OB3.

However, the screenshot shared by the tipster does not mention the name of the smartphone anywhere. It instead mentions that the device could be a rooted version.

In any case, if this score holds true, the device could be positioned as a performance-focused smartphone in the upper mid-range segment.

Although Poco has not officially confirmed the launch date, a mid-March debut suggests that more teasers and announcements may surface soon.

Apple has reportedly agreed to pay double the previous price for LPDDR5X memory chips supplied by Samsung Electronics. The tipoff comes from a Korean publication named Dealsite based on industry sources.

The report claims Apple recently held urgent discussions with Samsung’s semiconductor division to finalise RAM delivery volumes for the first half of the year. Samsung had initially been expected to push for a 60% price hike on the LPDDR5X chips supplied to Apple. Major chipmakers such as SK Hynix and Micron Technology have increasingly shifted production capacity toward high-bandwidth memory (HBM) used in AI servers. As a result, mobile DRAM supply has tightened significantly.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has already acknowledged during a recent earnings call that higher chip prices would have “a bit more of an impact” on gross margins. As for a possible iPhone price hike, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently indicated that Apple currently plans to maintain the starting price of the iPhone 18 Pro despite mounting component costs. Apple has announced the global rollout of new age-verification tools across its platforms. It  is aimed at helping developers comply with a growing number of child safety regulations worldwide. The update also introduces enhancements to the Declared Age Range API, which is now available in beta testing.

The upgraded API enables apps to identify a user’s age category and receive signals about how age assurance has been verified.

“Today we’re providing an update on the tools available for developers to meet their age assurance obligations under upcoming U.S. and regional laws, including in Brazil, Australia, Singapore, Utah, and Louisiana. Updates to the Declared Age Range API are now available in beta for testing,” said Apple.

Regional Requirements for Age Verification

Under the new rules, beginning February 24, 2026, users in Australia, Brazil, and Singapore will be prevented from downloading apps rated 18+ unless they are verified as adults. In Brazil specifically, developers who indicate through the age rating questionnaire that their app contains loot boxes will see their app’s age rating on the Brazil storefront automatically updated to 18+.

In the United States, similar regulations will apply in select states. The requirements will take effect in Utah starting May 6, 2026, and in Louisiana from July 1, 2026.

Developers operating in these states will be required to use Apple’s APIs to confirm users’ age categories and secure parental consent in certain situations before rolling out significant app updates.

Apple has reportedly placed production line orders for its much-anticipated foldable iPhone. The development was shared on Weibo, claiming that assembly lines have recently received official orders from Apple. If true, this means the device is on track for launch later this year.

According to the leak by a Chinese Weibo tipster named “Fixed Focus Digital”, the production process has revealed specific details about the crease performance of the device’s 7.8-inch inner display. The crease depth is said to be controlled at under 0.15 mm.

Crease depth refers to how deep the visible groove or indentation at the fold appears. A smaller measurement means the fold line is shallower and less noticeable, both visually and when touched.

In addition, the crease angle is reportedly kept below 2.5 degrees. The crease angle measures how sharp the fold line looks when the display is fully unfolded, calculated by the angle formed at the crease area. A lower angle suggests a smoother and flatter transition across the folding section, rather than a pronounced ridge or valley.
