iQOO is reportedly preparing to expand its flagship lineup with a new Ultra-branded smartphone. The iQOO 15 debuted in China in October and now, a new leak now suggests that a more advanced iQOO 15 Ultra is in development. This is not the first time we are hearing about this model though. According to a tipster, the upcoming handset could arrive with notable gaming-focused upgrades and its launch timeline has also been hinted at.
As per a Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQOO 15 Ultra is expected to launch in China ahead of the Spring Festival. Also known as the Chinese New Year, the festival spans 15 days and will begin on February 17, 2026.
If the leaked information is accurate, the iQOO 15 Ultra could make its official debut in China sometime before February 17.
The tipster claims that the iQOO 15 Ultra will feature an upgraded active heat dissipation system, which may include a built-in cooling fan. To further enhance gaming performance, the device is also tipped to come with shoulder triggers. While exact details about their implementation remain unknown, shoulder triggers are typically designed to improve control in first-person shooter games by aiding aiming, shooting, and overall precision.
The Ultra variant is also said to sport a flat display with 2K resolution. It is tipped to feature a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO OLED panel, which is likely supplied by Samsung. In terms of performance, the handset may be powered by the SMM8850 chipset, which is the codename for Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. Notably, the standard iQOO 15 is also powered by the same processor.
According to an earlier leak, the device was also being tested with a new mid-range periscope telephoto camera. The sensor is said to be a 50-megapixel unit with a 0.8-micrometre pixel size and a 1/1.95-inch sensor size, indicating improved zoom photography capabilities.
Additional leaked details suggest that the iQOO 15 Ultra could support wireless charging and come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
