Pre-orders for the Vivo X300 series have just started and it will debut alongside the Vivo Pad 5e, TWS 5 series, and Watch GT 2 in the Chinese market. Now, subbrand iQOO has officially opened pre-orders for the iQOO 15. The company has also released a teaser image showcasing the phone’s camera module design. Here’s what we know about the phone and its launch so far.
Earlier teasers only revealed the lower half of the iQOO 15’s back panel, hinting at a colour-changing design. But the latest official teaser has now confirmed that a porthole-style camera module is located at the upper-left corner. This setup features a hidden RGB light strip, said to be an upgraded version of the Halo Light introduced with last year’s iQOO 13.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the thicker camera module is due to the inclusion of a periscope telephoto camera.
While iQOO hasn’t yet shown the front design, DCS claims the phone will sport a flat display with rounded corners and a flat metal frame with sharp edges, giving it a modern and premium aesthetic.
Official details confirm that the device will feature a 2K AMOLED screen with AR anti-reflection coating. The display offers brightness ranging from 1 nit up to 6,000 nits and is expected to measure 6.85 inches.
The iQOO 15 recently appeared on Geekbench, listed with an underclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and Android 16 topped with OriginOS 6. Reports further suggest the smartphone will include the Q3 gaming chip, a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and wireless charging support, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
For cooling, the device is said to feature an 8K vapor chamber (VC) cooling unit, ensuring stable performance during extended gaming sessions. On the rear, the iQOO 15 will reportedly house a triple 50MP camera setup, highlighting its flagship-grade imaging capabilities.
As for other launches, DCS previously revealed on Weibo that the iQOO 15 is tentatively scheduled to launch on October 20.
