Early leaks surrounding the iPhone 18 series have begun circulating online. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro models in September, alongside the rumoured iPhone Fold. The standard iPhone 18, however, is likely to arrive later with a Spring 2027 launch timeframe being tipped. The upcoming lineup is also said to be powered by either the A20 or A20 Pro chipset.
A new report now sheds light on the expected display sizes of the iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the iPhone Air 2. Here’s what we know about the upcoming iPhone lineup based on recent leaks.
iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 Display Sizes (Expected)

According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the standard iPhone 18 is expected to come with a 6.27-inch LTPO AMOLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and Dynamic Island.
The iPhone Air 2, meanwhile, is tipped to feature a slightly larger 6.55-inch LTPO panel, also with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dynamic Island support.
iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max Display Details
The leak further claims that the iPhone 18 Pro will sport a 6.27-inch LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could feature a larger 6.86-inch LTPO screen with the same refresh rate. Notably, both Pro models are said to ditch the Dynamic Island entirely.
As per the tipster, the iPhone 18 lineup has reportedly entered the sample production stage. This suggests Apple may finally be preparing to move away from the Dynamic Island design on its premium iPhone models.
Apple originally introduced the Dynamic Island with the iPhone 14 Pro series in 2022.
Under-Display Face ID and Design Changes
This is not the first time rumours have surfaced about design changes for the iPhone 18 series. Earlier reports have also suggested that Apple is working on under-display Face ID technology for the upcoming lineup. If implemented, this would allow Apple to remove the current pill-shaped cutout used for the Dynamic Island, resulting in a cleaner display with only a small punch-hole for the front-facing camera.
Apple would not be alone in adopting this technology. Smartphone brands such as Samsung and ZTE have already experimented with under-display camera systems on select devices.
