The iPhone 16 Pro Max, Apple’s future flagship, is poised to redefine expectations if reports are to be believed.
According to recent leaks, this next-generation iPhone is on track to offer the longest battery life ever witnessed in Apple’s smartphone lineup.
Insiders, including a notable Naver user, yeux1122, suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will sport a significantly larger battery compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The anticipated increase in battery size is expected to shoot up the battery life to 30 hours of usage, an hour more than the current model.
Speculation around the battery size points towards a 5 percent increase, potentially upgrading the device to a 4,676mAh cell from the previous 4,422mAh.
This enhancement is speculated to be complemented by advancements in both software and hardware efficiency, ensuring that the device’s power management is optimized for the rumoured larger 6.9-inch MLA OLED display.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is also rumoured to maintain its innovative L-shaped dual-cell battery design, a strategic choice to maximize internal space efficiency.
The entire iPhone 16 Pro series, including the slightly smaller iPhone 16 Pro with a proposed 6.3-inch display, seems geared for substantial enhancements.
Rumours hint at larger displays across the board, potentially requiring larger chassis for both models, with the iPhone 16 Pro’s bezels expected to be thinner than those on the Galaxy S24.
On the camera front, the iPhone 16 Pro Max could be outfitted with a “Super Periscope” lens, succeeding last year’s introduction of a 5x periscope zoom.
