More physical dummy models representing Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 range have emerged online, seemingly reinforcing many of the design changes tipped for this year’s release.

The new mock-up units have been shared by a reputable leaker and show consistency with previous dummy device leaks over recent months.
If accurate, they provide our clearest look yet at the iPhone 16’s revised looks.
The most noticeable addition is the rumoured new ‘Capture’ button, seemingly taking the place of the mmWave antenna window on the right side.
These dummy units depict it as a large, elongated button situated below the power key.
Its precise functionality remains unclear, but the Capture button is widely expected to act as a camera shutter key, allowing one-touch focus and capture much like on dedicated cameras.
A light press could initiate focus before a firmer press takes the shot.
Aside from the new button, the iPhone 16 dummies also appear to show subtly larger chassis dimensions compared to the current iPhone 14 series.
This lines up with rumours of very slightly increased display sizes, potentially reaching up to 6.86 inches for the Pro Max model.
While external changes look relatively minor overall, the iPhone 16 lineup is still expected to bring major under-the-hood upgrades.
A new A17 chip, improved cameras, longer battery life, and enhanced safety features like crash detection are all hotly tipped.
Of course, these dummy leaks could prove inaccurate or change before launch later this year.
But their consistency with other leaks suggests Apple’s iPhone 16 design is slowly taking shape ahead of its likely September unveiling.
