Infinix is about to introduce a new smartphone in the entry-level market with the Infinix Smart 8HD.
As a matter of fact, according to the latest information, the device is to be priced under Rs 6,000, an absurd barrier to penetrate given the rather premium specs touted for the device.
The device will grace the Indian markets on December 8th.
The Smart 8HD is anticipated to feature a 90Hz refresh rate display, a first for a device priced at the 6K mark.
It will be powered by the UniSOC T606 processor and have 3GB of RAM.
Of course, the entry-level world will not have photography enthusiasts swooning over it but the target consumer can look forward to the Smart 8HD’s 13MP dual AI camera, equipped with Quad LED lights and a Ring Flash for low-light photography.
There is also an 8MP front camera that should output a decent selfie.
The device is also going to introduce a MAGIC RING function, which is kind of a toned-down version of Apple’s Dynamic Island.
In terms of design, the Smart 8HD is expected to be available in four colour variants, featuring a textured back panel.
Security is a key focus, and the handset is said to have a first-in-segment side-mounted fingerprint sensor providing enhanced security and convenient unlocking.
The device will run on the latest Android 13 Go and XOS 13 and will pack a substantial 5000mAh battery.
Thankfully it will be coupled with type C charging, not the outdated microUSB input prevalent across the segment.
There is also going to be a Power Marathon technology, which is designed to extend battery life and reduce the need for frequent recharging.
