Infinix is set to launch two new technologies, AirCharge and Extreme-Temp Battery, at the upcoming ShowStoppers event during CES 2024.
The company has alluded that these innovations aim to introduce new capabilities in the mobile industry.
The AirCharge technology by Infinix represents a step forward in wireless charging capabilities.
It allows for charging smart devices at a distance of up to 20 centimeters and can function even when the transmitting and receiving coils are at an angle of up to 60 degrees.
This is made possible through multi-coil magnetic resonance technology and adaptive algorithms.
This technology operates at a frequency below 6.78MHz and can deliver up to 7.5W of charging power.
It includes a Resonance and Over Voltage Protection Circuit to ensure safety during charging, particularly in scenarios where the distance and position between the device and the charging pad change rapidly.
Liang Zhang, Deputy General Manager at Infinix, highlighted that the company focuses on practicality and safety while advancing over-the-air charging technology.
Infinix AirCharge aims to offer a convenient way of charging, allowing users to charge their devices during activities like gaming or watching videos, by installing the wireless charging pad underneath surfaces such as desks.
Addressing the issue of battery performance in extremely cold temperatures, Infinix has developed the Extreme-Temp Battery.
Regular batteries often fail to function in such conditions due to lithium-ion freezing, which inhibits charging or discharging.
The Extreme-Temp Battery uses biomimetic electrolyte and fusion solid-state technology on the electrodes, enabling it to function effectively even at temperatures as low as -40°C.
This technology expands the charging temperature range of the battery to 100°C, spanning from -40°C to 60°C, ensuring functionality in various environmental conditions.
Infinix has been known for its advancements in charging technology, with previous developments like the 180W Thunder Charge Technology and the 260W All-Round FastCharge.
The upcoming showcase at ShowStoppers during CES 2024 will include the AirCharge and Extreme-Temp Battery technologies but Infinix is likely to reveal more breaking technologies at the event.
Infinix’s AirCharge technology allows wireless charging of devices without direct contact or cables, effective up to 20 centimeters away. It utilizes multi-coil magnetic resonance and adaptive algorithms to enable charging even when the coils are angled.
The Extreme-Temp Battery by Infinix is designed to operate in extreme cold, down to -40°C. This is made possible through the use of biomimetic electrolyte and fusion solid-state technology, addressing the common issue of lithium ion freezing in standard batteries.
AirCharge incorporates a Resonance and Over Voltage Protection Circuit, ensuring safe charging. This is particularly vital when the positioning and distance between the device and charging pad change, as it operates at a low frequency below 6.78MHz.
Infinix is scheduled to showcase its latest technologies, including the AirCharge and Extreme-Temp Battery, at the ShowStoppers event during CES 2024.
