Inbase Torque Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Design and Build

The Inbase Torque has a perfect compact design and is clearly built for people who are always moving. At just 180 grams, it’s super lightweight, so carrying it around never feels like a hassle. It can be easily tossed in a bag or clipped onto the backpack.
It comes in a soft matte finish of premium rubber, which makes it feel nice to hold and has a slightly rugged vibe to it. The speaker doesn’t slip around easily, which is a bonus if you’re using it outdoors. The IPX6 rating is a solid reassurance. So, you can take it to a pool party or a beach trip without constantly worrying about splashes.
The built-in multi-colour LED mood light really elevates the overall look of this gadget. The mood light pulses along with the music and adds a bit of charm, especially if you’re playing music in a dimly lit room.
Overall when it comes to design, the Inbase Torque is fun, functional and clearly made with portability in mind.
Inbase Torque Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Sound Quality

Torque has a surprisingly good sound quality. The 8W output packs quite a punch and it has good output for all types of audio. Listening to mellow acoustic tracks or bass-heavy EDM, the sound is crisp and rich with just the right amount of thump in the bass. It doesn’t feel hollow or flat.
The 360-degree sound delivery is punchy. No matter where we placed it, whether in the centre of the room or in a corner, the audio felt nicely spread out. It doesn’t shoot sound in just one direction.
It comes with TWS mode. The stereo effect is satisfying, especially while watching a movie or playing music. It’s one of those features you might not think you need until you try it, and then you just want to keep both speakers paired up all the time.
The sound quality is impressive for a speaker this size and price. It delivers loud and clear audio whether you are at home or on the go.
Inbase Torque Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Features

The Inbase Torque packs in a bunch of handy features. First of all, it is the built-in microphone, which we found super useful. Users can easily receive calls using the speaker without picking up a phone. The call quality was decent enough for a quick chat but we did notice there was a slight delay in receiving the audio at times. In any case, it is a reliable option for attending calls when hands are occupied.
Then there’s Bluetooth 5.3 and the connection felt solid. We didn’t experience any dropouts or lag while streaming music from my phone or laptop. It connects quickly and stays connected. The Bluetooth comes wih 10 meters of wireless range, which is pretty standard and more than enough for moving around the room without losing the signal.
Inbase Torque also offers a few more connectivity options. It supports USB-A, TF cards and even has an AUX input. So whether you’ve got your music on a memory card or want to plug in a device directly, you’re covered.
Inbase Torque Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Battery Life

Battery life is important when it comes to portable speakers. Inbase Torque didn’t disappoint in this department. It offers up to 7 hours of playtime on a single charge, which easily got us through a full day of on-and-off use.
It has a Type-C fast charging option when it needs a recharge. However, the charging time is a bit longer. It took us over 2 hours to go from nearly empty to full.
For a speaker this compact, the battery life is solid. You can take it along for a day trip, chill at home or even use it while working.
Verdict – Should You Buy Inbase Torque Portable Bluetooth Speaker?

Torque makes a good case for a portable Bluetooth speaker. It’s lightweight, has good sound quality and comes with cool LED mood lights. There is also TWS pairing and multiple connectivity options.
For the price, it delivers more than expected and it is a great little companion for both indoor chilling and outdoor adventures. So, if you’re looking for a fun, travel-friendly Bluetooth speaker that doesn’t feel too heavy in your pocket, the Inbase Torque could be a perfect choice.
