At its global launch event in Bangkok, Huawei introduced a new lineup of premium smartwatches. The new devices include the Huawei Watch Fit 5, Watch Fit 5 Pro, Watch Ultimate Design Spring Edition, and Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition.
The new smartwatches not only offer improved health and fitness tracking but also emphasise premium design, long battery life, and advanced sports features.
These new wearables expand Huawei’s global smartwatch lineup and are aimed at a wide range of users, from casual fitness fans to professional runners and those looking for luxury options.
The Huawei Watch Fit 5 features a lightweight rectangular design and a 1.82-inch AMOLED display. The Watch Fit 5 Pro has a slightly larger 1.92-inch AMOLED display with slim bezels for a more immersive view.
The Watch Fit 5 series introduced “Mini-Workout” mode, a collection of short, guided exercises designed for people who don’t want to commit to a full workout session. The feature even adds a small animated panda companion on the watch face.
The watches add more outdoor fitness features. Cyclists can view real-time virtual power and cadence, while the Pro model includes trail-running navigation and golf support, with access to over 17,000 courses worldwide.
Both models offer better sleep tracking, atrial fibrillation (a-fib) analysis, and standard health features. The Pro model adds ECG and arterial stiffness detection, plus women’s health management with a temperature sensor that tracks wrist temperature and predicts periods, ovulation, and cycles.
The smartwatch also includes built-in GPS and Bluetooth calling. It runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS and works with both Android and iOS devices.
Huawei says the Watch Fit 5 can last up to 10 days on a single charge with typical use. It also supports fast magnetic charging.
The Huawei Watch Fit 5 will be available from May 7 for £159.99 through the Huawei store. The Watch Fit 5 Pro will cost £249.99.
Customers can get a £30 discount coupon, a free watch strap, and a Huawei Scale 3 until June 21.
Huawei also introduced the luxury-focused Watch Ultimate Design Spring Edition, which features premium craftsmanship and high-end materials. It keeps Huawei’s top health-monitoring features, satellite connectivity, and a wide range of sports tracking options.
Created in collaboration with jewellery designer Francesca Amfitheatrof, the smartwatch features 99 natural diamonds, sapphire crystal details, and a titanium case inspired by Fibonacci patterns.
Despite its luxurious design, the watch includes all the usual smartwatch features. It supports ECG monitoring, respiratory tracking, eSIM calling, NFC payments, and can be used for diving up to 40 metres.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Spring Edition will be available from May 7 through the Huawei Store, priced at £3,499.99.
The Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition is made for runners and professional athletes. It offers advanced running analytics, AI-powered training help, dual-frequency GPS, and tools for marathon training.
Huawei says this model improves GPS accuracy by 20% thanks to its new floating antenna system and dual-band satellite positioning.
Huawei collaborated with marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge to develop training features such as pace predictions, race preparation plans, lactate threshold analysis, and fuelling reminders for long runs.
Huawei has made the watch lighter and more comfortable for long workouts. The Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition supports over 100 sports modes and can last up to 14 days on a single charge with lighter use. Like other recent Huawei wearables, it works with both Android and iOS, though some features are limited on iOS.
The Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition will be priced at £349.99.
Huawei launched the Watch Fit 5, Watch Fit 5 Pro, Watch Ultimate Design Spring Edition, and Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition.
Both the Huawei Watch Fit 5 and Watch Fit 5 Pro are claimed to offer up to 10 days of battery life on a single charge.
The smartwatch includes advanced running analytics, AI-powered training tools, dual-frequency GPS, and marathon-focused fitness tracking features.
The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro has been launched globally at a starting price of £249.99.
