Huawei has launched its latest flagship lineup in China, led by the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra. Alongside the Ultra, the company also revealed the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, and Pura 80 Pro+, all packed with premium specs and camera-focused features. But it’s the Pura 80 Ultra that’s grabbing all the attention. Here’s more about all new smartphones.
Huawei’s top-tier Pura 80 Ultra is all about the camera. It features a 1-inch 50MP RYYB main sensor with a variable f/1.6–f/4 aperture for excellent low-light performance. This is supported by a 40MP ultra-wide camera, a 1.5MP spectrum sensor and a dual periscope telephoto setup, a world first.
The Ultra offers 50MP and 12.5MP periscope cameras with 3.7x and 9.4x optical zoom. The telephoto system includes moving lenses that shift between 83mm and 212mm focal lengths. While this might remind you of Sony’s Xperia 1 VII, Huawei’s system allows switching between two lenses, while Sony’s offers continuous zoom across its range.
To support all that is a 6.8-inch quad-curved LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 3000 nits peak brightness and 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Powering the device is the Kirin 9020 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage.
A large 5,700mAh battery supports 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging. Other features include IP68/IP69 rating, satellite connectivity, Kulun glass protection, and HarmonyOS NEXT.

The Pura 80 Pro series also brings top-notch camera capabilities, featuring the same 1-inch 50MP RYYB main sensor with a variable aperture and OIS, a 40MP ultra-wide, a 48MP periscope lens with 4x optical zoom, and a multispectral sensor. The front camera is a 13MP shooter.
The Pro models sport a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and P3 color gamut. The Pura 80 Pro+ is protected by 2nd-gen Kunlun Glass, while both devices are powered by the Kirin 9020 SoC.
Battery specs remain the same as 5,700mAh capacity, 100W wired, 80W wireless, and 18W reverse charging. Extras include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, two-way Beidou satellite messaging, NFC, and Huawei Histen stereo speakers.

While the Pura 80 skips the 1-inch sensor, it still delivers solid specs. It features a 50MP main camera with variable aperture and OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide, a 12MP periscope with 5.5x optical zoom, and a 1.5MP spectrum sensor. There’s also a 13MP front camera.
It has a smaller 6.6-inch flat LTPO OLED screen with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 2nd-gen Kunlun Glass, and 3000 nits peak brightness. The phone runs on the Kirin 9020 SoC with a 5,600mAh battery, 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 5W reverse charging support.
Features like Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and satellite messaging are included.
