Huawei has expanded its Nova 14 lineup with the launch of a new variant, the Huawei Nova 14i. The device joins the Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro, which were introduced globally earlier this year. The Nova 14i brings a large display, a massive battery, and budget-friendly 4G hardware. Here’s more on the newly launched device.
Huawei offers the Nova 14i in Blue and Black colour options. It will be available in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB configurations.
Pricing and availability details are yet to be revealed. However, based on its specifications, the Nova 14i is positioned as a budget 4G smartphone in the series.
The Nova 14i features a 6.95-inch FHD+ Huawei FullView LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Always-on Display support.
Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It runs on EMUI 14.2, Huawei’s custom skin based on Android 12. Huawei has continued with EMUI 14.2 for its global variants, including the standard Nova 14.
For optics, the smartphone houses a dual-camera setup on the back, comprising a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, along with autofocus and an LED flash. The cameras are enclosed in Huawei’s signature Star Orbit Ring design. On the front, it sports an 8MP selfie camera
A major highlight is its 7,000mAh battery (rated at 6,900mAh). Huawei claims the device can deliver up to 26 hours of local video playback, 60 hours of calls, or 31 hours of music playback on a single charge. Additionally, just 10 minutes of charging provides 3.1 hours of video playback.
The Nova 14i also introduces the X Button feature, giving users quick access to daily tools like Flashlight, Calculator, and Camera with a single tap.
