As the name suggests, the tablet comes with a 12.2-inch Tandem OLED PaperMatte display. It offers a sharp 2.8K resolution, super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 2000 nits of peak brightness. The screen also supports the P3 wide color gamut.
The PaperMatte technology is designed to cut down glare and make the display easier to use in bright lighting
Huawei hasn’t shared much about the processor, but based on its current trend, it could be using a Kirin chipset like the one in the larger MatePad Pro 13.2 (2025).
In terms of memory, the tablet is confirmed to come with 12GB of RAM and two storage options – 256GB and 512GB. It’s powered by a large 10,100mAh battery, which supports 100W wired fast charging.
For software, the tablet runs on HarmonyOS 4.3. On the camera side, you get a 50MP main rear camera with support for 4K video recording at 30fps and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, quad speakers with Huawei Sound, WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.2. Despite all this hardware, it remains slim and light at just 5.5mm thick and 508 grams in weight.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 (2025) is available in Green and Black colour options.
Prices start at 849.99 Euros, and the tablet goes on sale in Europe now. However, keep in mind that only the 12GB + 512GB version, priced at 999 Euros, comes with the PaperMatte display.
