Honor is reportedly gearing up to launch two foldable phones in China, the Magic V2 Flip and the Magic V5. While the Magic V2 Flip was earlier expected to launch in June, there’s been no fresh update about its timeline. However, Chinese tech blogger Guan has now revealed that the Honor Magic V5 will likely debut by the end of this month. Here’s everything we know so far.

According to the tipster’s post on Weibo, Honor CEO Li Jian may have accidentally revealed the upcoming Honor flagship smartwatch during a recent interaction. The watch in question appears to be the Honor Watch 5 Ultra, which already launched globally in March with a titanium build and ECG support.
It’s now set to arrive in China by late June, likely alongside the Magic V5.
Guan also mentioned that Honor is planning to launch new earphones, tablets and PCs at the same event.
In a Weibo post last month, Honor’s flagship Mobile Phone Product Manager, Li Kun, teased that the Magic V5 will lead the industry in terms of slim and lightweight design.
He also hinted that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
The device, believed to carry the model number MHB-AN10, has already been certified by Chinese platforms like MIIT and 3C.

A new leak suggests that the Honor Magic V5 will feature a larger battery than the Vivo X Fold 5. Tipster Panda is Bald responded to a Weibo user asking about the battery size with “大100”, meaning “bigger by 100.” That likely puts the V5’s battery at 6,100mAh, making it the biggest battery ever seen on a foldable phone.
To back this up, CMIIT certification has already revealed that the Magic V5 will have a rated battery capacity of 5,950mAh.
As per reports, the Magic V5 is expected to come with a 6.45-inch LTPO OLED cover display with 120Hz refresh rate and an 8-inch foldable inner display that offers 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate as well.
On the back, the phone might house a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. Other expected features include wireless charging, satellite messaging, IPX8 water resistance and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
