Honor is preparing to launch the new Honor 600 series in China, bringing several major upgrades. Recent leaks suggest the Chinese models could include a unique detachable secondary screen that works as a remote control.
In addition, the phones may offer top-tier cameras, larger batteries, and other premium features. The lineup will likely include both the standard Honor 600 and the Honor 600 Pro, each with improved hardware over the global versions.
A recent leak highlights the possible addition of a detachable secondary screen for the Honor 600 series. Tipster Fixed Focus Digital says this small display could attach magnetically to the back of the phone and be used as a remote camera controller, a portable fill light, a wallpaper display, or a secondary screen for transferring photos. A blurry leaked image appears to show the accessory attached to the device.
This feature could help the Honor 600 Pro stand out among premium smartphones by adding more options for productivity and photography.
Globally, the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro feature a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and peak brightness up to 8000 nits. They also offer 3840Hz PWM dimming to make the screen easier on the eyes.
The standard Honor 600 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, while the Honor 600 Pro uses the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor in global markets. Some leaks suggest the Pro model in China might use a Dimensity 8550 Elite chip instead.
Both phones come with MagicOS 10, which is based on Android 16.
Honor has put a lot of emphasis on camera performance in the 600 series. The Honor 600 comes with a 200MP main camera with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. The Honor 600 Pro adds a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS. Both models also have a 50MP front-facing selfie camera.
Honor is likely to increase battery capacity for the Chinese versions. The Honor 600 could have an 8600mAh battery, while the Pro model may come with an 8000mAh battery. Both are expected to support 80W wired fast charging, and the Pro may also offer 50W wireless charging and reverse charging.
If leaks are true, the Honor 600 will be available in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB storage options, while the Honor 600 Pro is expected to offer a higher-end 16GB+512GB model as well.
Apart from this, both phones are tipped to arrive in multiple colour options, including Lucky Star, Obsidian Black, Light Feature Blue, and Green Apple shades.
The Honor 600 Pro is rumoured to feature a detachable secondary screen accessory that can work as a remote controller and mini display.
The phones feature a 200MP primary camera, while the Pro model also includes a 50MP telephoto lens.
The Honor 600 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the Pro version features the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
