Honor 400 Series Debuts Globally with 200MP Cameras and Fast Charging, Honor Pad 10 Also Unveiled

Honor has just launched the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro smartphones globally at an event in Paris. These two phones bring high-res cameras back to the brand’s number series and put a strong focus on AI-powered photography and creative tools. Alongside the phones, Honor also introduced a new tablet, the Honor Pad 10. Here’s everything we know about the newly launched devices.

Honor 400 and 400 Pro – Key Features

The Honor 400 has a 6.55-inch flat OLED screen with a resolution of 1264×2736 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, delivers up to 5000 nits of HDR brightness and offers 3840Hz PWM dimming to protect your eyes.

Meanwhile, the Honor 400 Pro steps things up with a slightly larger 6.7-inch quad-curved OLED display at 2800×1280 resolution, also with a 120Hz refresh rate and the same brightness level.

Under the hood, the Honor 400 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The 400 Pro uses the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and comes with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage as standard. Both phones are built to handle demanding tasks like gaming, multitasking and AI-powered functions.

They run on Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0 and come with six years of Android and security updates. Built-in AI features include AI Summary, AI Subtitles, Magic Portal and Deepfake Detection. You also get Google’s Gemini assistant for smarter productivity and contextual help.

Both models feature a 200MP main rear camera with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor, f/1.9 aperture, and support for both OIS and EIS. They’re backed by a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a 112° field of view and macro support. The Pro model adds a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, based on the Sony IMX856 sensor. On the front, both phones sport a 50MP selfie camera with 4K video recording.

AI-powered photo tools include AI Eraser, AI Outpainting, AI Remove Reflection and image-to-video conversion using Google Cloud’s Veo model.

Powering the phones is a 5300mAh silicon-carbon battery. The Honor 400 supports 66W wired charging, taking it to 44% in just 15 minutes. The 400 Pro supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. According to Honor, the battery is good for 1200 charge cycles and will retain over 80% capacity even after four years.

The Honor 400 is 7.3mm thick, weighs 184g, and has IP65 splash resistance. It also comes with stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3. The 400 Pro is 8.1mm thick, weighs 205g and offers IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 for better connectivity.

Honor Pad 10 – What We Know?

The Honor Pad 10 is a mid-range tablet powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It features a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 2560×1600 resolution, likely with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. For cameras, you get 8MP front and rear sensors, both with f/2.0 aperture and no autofocus.

A big 10,100mAh battery keeps it running, and it supports 35W wired charging. The tablet runs on Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0 and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.

It measures 277.07 x 179.28 x 6.29 mm, weighs 525g, and will be available in Cyan and grey colour options. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet but with its mid-range specs, it’s expected to be reasonably priced.
