The Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro, the latest flagship smartphones from Honor, were unveiled in China, representing a significant advancement in their product line.
These devices, characterized by their high-end features and innovative technology, mark a new era for the brand in the competitive smartphone market.
The Honor 100 series introduces two models with varying price points and configurations.
The Honor 100 is priced starting at CNY 2,499 for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, scaling up to CNY 2,999 for the top-end model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The Honor 100 Pro begins at CNY 3,399 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, with the highest offering of 16GB RAM and 1TB storage priced at CNY 4,399.
Initially released in China, these smartphones are expected to be available in other markets soon.
The Honor 100 boasts a 6.7-inch OLED display, offering a resolution of 2664×1200 pixels, while the Pro version enhances the visual experience with a slightly larger 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display at 2700×1224 pixels resolution.
Both models provide a smooth visual experience with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Honor 100 is the first to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, making it a notable entry in the market.
The Honor 100 Pro, on the other hand, is equipped with the more robust Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, complemented by an in-house C1 chip and a VC liquid cooling system for enhanced performance and thermal management.
For photography enthusiasts, the Honor 100 offers a compelling camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle macro lens.
The Pro variant takes imaging a step further with a triple camera array, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 32MP telephoto lens with OIS, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle macro lens.
Additionally, the Honor 100 Pro features a unique dual-camera setup for selfies, combining a 50MP and a 2MP sensor.
Both models are equipped with a substantial 5,000mAh battery, supported by 100W fast charging technology, ensuring rapid power replenishment.
The Pro model distinguishes itself with an additional 66W fast wireless charging capability, adding to its premium features.
On the software front, both smartphones run on MagicOS 7.2, based on Android 13, which is slightly offputting since Android 14 is already rolling out.
