In fact, Google is reusing the same Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset found in the Pixel Watch 2 and 3. This chip was launched back in 2022 and is built on a 4nm process and features four Cortex-A53 cores.

There’s a newer Snapdragon W6 on the horizon, featuring one Cortex-A78 and four A55 cores, but Google isn’t making the jump yet. Instead, it seems the company is waiting to introduce its own custom Tensor chip with the Pixel Watch 5 in 2026. That chip is expected to have the same setup as the W6 and even the Exynos W1000 used in Samsung’s Galaxy Watch8 series.

The Pixel Watch 4 is expected to come in two sizes, 41mm (“meridian” / FME23) and 45mm (“kenari” / FK23). Leaked renders have already hinted at a thicker design, increasing from 12.3mm to 14.3mm. That extra bulk is likely due to a larger battery.
