Google’s Pixel 10 series is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Android launches of the year. While Google has yet to make anything official, new leaks are giving us a clearer picture of what to expect including the launch date, details about the Pixel 10 Pro prototype and even some new ringtones.
Pixel 10 Launch Date and Pre-Orders
According to a report from Android Headlines, the Pixel 10 series will be officially launched on August 20, 2025, with pre-orders starting the same day. That’s a week later than the Pixel 9 series, which launched on August 13, 2024.
Pre-orders will also begin on August 13 for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Meanwhile, some reports claim that Pixel Watch 4 can also be announced on this date, although no official confirmation on that has been made yet.
If the timeline holds, the Pixel 10 series will start shipping on August 28, 2025, just eight days after launch.
Before that, Google is planning a special pre-launch event for “Superfans” on June 27.
Pixel 10 Pro Prototype Surfaces

A prototype of the Pixel 10 Pro has also leaked, showing up on the Chinese social platform Coolapk. The prototype carries the codename ‘blazer’ and is labelled as ‘DVT1.0’, which stands for Design Verification Test.
This early version confirms a few key hardware specs. The Tensor G5 chip will use a configuration of 1x Cortex-X4, 2x Cortex-A725, 3x Cortex-A725, and 2x Cortex-A520 cores. While the image mentions a 5nm process, tipster Mystic Leaks claims it’s actually built on a 3nm process.
The prototype also reveals 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage with a 512GB model likely on the way. It will ship with Android 16 out of the box.
Design-wise, the Pixel 10 Pro doesn’t look too different from its predecessor and includes triple rear cameras. Based on earlier rumours, the camera setup could include –
- 50MP 1/1.31″ Samsung GNV main sensor
- 48MP 1/2.55″ Sony IMX858 ultra-wide
- A matching IMX858 telephoto and front camera
Pixel 10 – New Ringtones and Sounds (Leaked)
There’s more! Tech & Leaks Zone on Telegram shared some new system sounds claimed to be from the Pixel 10 series. These include an updated ringtone, notification chime and alarm sound.
- “The next adventure” is the new ringtone, a refreshed version of “Your new adventure.” It’s more upbeat and feels like it could be from a video game, while still sounding familiar.
- “Kernel” is the new notification sound. It’s similar to “Eureka,” but slightly softer and more refined.
- “Fresh Morning” is the new alarm tone. It starts gently and builds in volume and pace, a calm and gradual way to wake up.
All three sounds share melodies with existing tones like “Bright Morning” and “Fresh Start,” but with new instruments and updated pacing.
You can listen to these new sounds in the above video that’s making the rounds online. Some users even shared an APK allegedly pulled from a Pixel 10 Pro that includes the sounds, though it’s wise to be cautious, installing random APKs can be risky.
It’s also worth noting that these might not be the default sounds on the Pixel 10 series. And if you’re upgrading from an older Pixel, your current sound settings will probably carry over during setup.
