A Realme smartphone with the model number RMX5002 recently passed through China’s TENAA certification.
As tech enthusiasts online keep snooping around for such reveals, this one revealed a model number – RMX5002’s images and key specifications.
The model number is familiar for more reasons than one.
In a previous report, the same model i.e. RMX5002 was also noticed getting approval from Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platform.
Now if we do a little math combining both reports of certifications and join a few dots, it can be safely assumed that the RMX5002 listed on TENAA could be the Chinese version of the Realme 13+ 5G.
This confirmed that the device will be launched as the Realme 13+ 5G.
It is important to note that details such as its name, chipset, and fast-charging capabilities were not mentioned in the TENNA certification.
The device, however, has also been spotted in Geekbench and TUV Rheinland Japan’s databases, providing more information about its chipset and charging specs.
Screenshots from multiple certification platforms, including Indonesia’s SDPPI, India’s BIS, Europe’s EEC, and TUV Rheinland Japan, show that the device is making its way through various approvals.
According to the TUV listing, the phone will come with a 4,880mAh battery, which likely translates to a typical capacity of 5,000mAh, and it may support 80W fast charging.
The TENAA listing revealed that the Realme 13+ 5G would be powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core processor, though it didn’t specify the chipset.
However, the Geekbench listing indicates that the device is equipped with the MediaTek MT6878 chipset, featuring the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, confirming that the phone is powered by the Dimensity 7300.
Additionally, Geekbench shows that the Realme 13+ 5G will have 6GB of RAM and run on Android 14.
The device scored 1043 in single-core and 2925 in multi-core tests on Geekbench.
The TENAA certification also reveals that the Realme 13+ 5G will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an embedded fingerprint sensor, a 16-megapixel front camera, a dual rear camera setup with 50-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors, and a microSD card slot.
The device is expected to offer RAM options of 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB, with storage variants ranging from 128GB to 1TB.
It will measure 161.7 x 74.7 x 7.6mm and weigh 185 grams.
