While Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event is still a few weeks away, we now have a closer look at what’s likely on the way. Fresh leaks have revealed renders of the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic and a possible Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The renders show off a bold new design and hint at several exciting upgrades. Here’s everything we know.

The leaked images show a new “squircle” design, which is a square-like shape with a round display. It was originally seen on the first Galaxy Watch Ultra and it now looks like this style will define the entire Watch 8 lineup, making it stand out from previous models.
The leak comes from the reliable tipster Evan Blass via a Substack post, which was later shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @WorkaholicDavid.

One of the biggest highlights is the return of the physical rotating bezel on the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. A longtime fan favourite, this feature makes navigating through menus more intuitive. The Watch 8 Classic also features three buttons on the side, which are most likely a home/power key, a back key and a Quick/Action button for launching apps or workouts.
Interestingly, a prototype of this model recently popped up for sale on eBay.
All three models are expected to run One UI 8 Watch based on Wear OS and will offer advanced health and fitness features. This includes carotenoid level tracking, personalised running guidance and better sleep monitoring.
Samsung has also confirmed that these features will come to older models like the Galaxy Watch 5 and newer through the One UI 8 Watch beta starting later in June 2025.
According to some other reports, the Watch Ultra 2 might come with a titanium frame and better durability, while the Watch 8 and Classic are likely to focus on larger displays and longer battery life.
Meanwhile, Samsung is rumoured to unveil these smartwatches along with the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 at its Unpacked event on July 13, 2025 in New York City.
