New leaked images of Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone are now viral online. These images were first shared by well-known leaker Sonny Dickson and offer probably the first clearest look yet at the device’s final design. The latest images are what look like a highly detailed dummy unit and also hint that the foldable iPhone could launch exclusively in a white color finish. Here’s more on this.
Foldable iPhone Dummy Unit Images Leaked
Back in April, Dickson had shared early dummy models of the foldable iPhone alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Those images provided one of the first visual confirmations of Apple’s book-style foldable form factor.
The newly leaked dummy unit appears significantly more refined than previous models.

Earlier this week, another well-known tipster Ice Universe posted what seemed to be an image of a white foldable iPhone dummy. However, Dickson’s latest images provide a much clearer and more detailed view of both the device’s overall design and display layout.

Dummy units are non-functional models typically created for display purposes and accessory makers. These units are designed with proper physical accuracy to allow case manufacturers and other accessory brands to prepare products before a device officially launches.
Foldable iPhone Design Details via Latest Dummy Unit Images
The design shown in the images is in line with several rumours that have emerged over recent months. Apple’s first foldable iPhone is expected to adopt a book-style and passport-like design featuring a unique 4:3 aspect ratio. The device is said to be wider than it is tall that will make it different from existing foldable smartphones currently available.

Reports suggest it will feature a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch foldable OLED inner screen. If true, these dimensions would make the first foldable iPhone only slightly smaller than the iPad mini when unfolded.
Previous rumors have also pointed to an ultra-thin titanium frame measuring just 4.5mm in thickness. The device is expected to feature volume buttons positioned on the top edge, omit the Action Button, and use Touch ID instead of Face ID.
On the rear, Apple is reportedly planning a horizontal dual-camera setup housed within an iPhone Air-inspired camera plateau.
The latest dummy images reveal additional design details that were not visible before. The cover display appears to stretch nearly edge-to-edge and features slightly curved edges. The camera flash is positioned below the rear microphone inside the camera plateau, while the rear microphone itself adopts a new design consisting of seven drilled holes.
The front-facing camera on the inner display is located at the top-left corner, a placement that could potentially influence how Apple implements the Dynamic Island on the foldable device.
Foldable iPhone May Only Arrive In White Colour

Meanwhile, while sharing the leaked images, leaker Dickson also supported Weibo tipster Instant Digital’s recent claim that Apple may skip a black finish altogether and offer the foldable iPhone only in white. This also aligns with an earlier report from Mark Gurman that Apple intends to avoid bold colours and stick with more traditional finishes for its foldable.
A limited colour strategy would not be entirely new for Apple.
Several premium Apple products including the Apple Watch Ultra and Vision Pro debuted with only a single colour option. The iPhone X launched in November 2017 in just Silver and Space Grey colour options. Apple later expanded the lineup with a Gold variant on the iPhone XS. So, the company could surely follow a similar strategy with its foldable iPhone over future generations.
Apple’s first foldable iPhone is currently expected to make its debut in September 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. According to Gurman, the device is likely to carry a starting price above the $2,000 mark, which will make it one of the most expensive iPhones ever released.
