Elon Musk has fired a warning shot at Apple, saying he will prohibit the tech giant’s devices at his companies if they integrate OpenAI’s artificial intelligence software at the operating system level.

While Apple stressed its AI dubbed “Apple Intelligence” is built with privacy in mind, Musk questioned the iPhone maker’s ability to ensure OpenAI protects user data.

Musk also claimed that visitors to his companies would have to store Apple devices in “a Faraday cage” due to the purported security risks of OpenAI integration at the OS level.

The billionaire co-founded OpenAI in 2015 but had a messy split from the AI startup.

He sued OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman earlier this year, alleging it abandoned its non-profit mission.
