Disney is set to raise subscription costs for Disney+ and Hulu starting October 21, affecting both standalone plans and bundles. The upcoming price adjustment follows the company’s trend of gradual hikes since Disney+ launched in 2019.
The prices were confirmed by the platform via Disney’s official support page, where users can also get the complete breakdown of increased prices.
The timing of these changes may prove challenging for Disney, as the company recently faced a wave of cancellations. Subscribers reportedly left the platform last week in protest after Disney temporarily pulled Jimmy Kimmel from its lineup.
Disney+ originally launched in 2019 at $6.99 per month, but like other streaming services, it has steadily raised subscription costs over the years. The last hike was announced in October 2024, when the ad-supported plan jumped from $7.99 to $9.99, while the ad-free version increased from $13.99 to $15.99 per month.
