There is a good news for the passengers traveling in Delhi Metro. All the commuters who travel on the Yellow Line (connecting Huda City Centre and Samaypur Badli) will now be able to access free high-speed Wi-Fi Internet, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a statement on Sunday.
Delhi Metro in its efforts to continuously enhance travel experience for its commuters, has introduced the facility of free high speed Wi-Fi service from all Metro stations of its Yellow Line from today. There are about 37 metro stations on Yellow line, including Jahangirpuri, Adarsh ??Nagar, Azadpur, Model Town, Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar (GTB Nagar), University of Delhi, Legislative Assembly, Civil Lines, Kashmere Gate, Chandni Chowk, Chawri Bazar, New Delhi Railway Station, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat included. Yellow lines are mostly underground stations.
“This service, coinciding with the start of festival season, is launched on the Yellow Line, which has 37 Metro stations and runs mostly underground through one of the most congested parts of Delhi — covering outer and north Delhi through central and south Delhi and finally Gurugram. More than 330 access points have been installed at these 37 stations to provide uninterrupted internet access to commuters,” the DMRC said in a statement.

How to access free Wi-Fi in Delhi Metro
Passengers on this Yellow line will need to log on to the network called OUI DMRC FREE Wi-Fi on their smartphone, after which they will be able to use free Wi-Fi Internet. Apart from this, facilities like Facebook, e-mail, WhatsApp, Google Search will be benefited. To access the free Wi-Fi network, follow the below steps:
Step 1: From the Wi-Fi menu of your mobile phone, select OUI DMRC FREE Wi-Fi
Step 2: Enter your number and e-mail ID, you will then receive OTP on your mobile number
Step 3: On entering the OTP, you will then need to accept the terms and conditions
Step 4: After that, tap on the connect button
Step 5: You will then be able to access the free WiFi connection.
Wi-Fi facility already available on Blue Line and Airport Line
OUI DMRC free Wi-Fi service is already operational on Blue Line and Airport Express Line as well. Over 400 ‘Access Points’ have been set up at 50 Metro stations on the Blue Line (connecting Dwarka Sector 21 and Noida Electronic City/Vaishali), while over 50 ‘Access Points’ have been provided at six stations on the Airport Express Line.
