Honor has officially confirmed its next-generation compact foldable, the Honor Magic V Flip 2. The brand has revealed a fresh design direction through its latest teaser. Continuing its partnership with fashion designer Professor Jimmy Choo, the brand is once again blending tech with luxury style. While the launch date hasn’t been disclosed, the first teaser hints at a possible debut as early as this month.
The teaser showcases a crystal-studded back panel with a starry-sky effect, achieved through a specialised manufacturing process.
Meanwhile, designer Jimmy Choo also shared sketches of the device on the official Jimmy Choo Instagram account, offering a closer look at its fashion-inspired aesthetic.
With the sketches, the designer wrote, “Here’s what the fashion designer has to say about the device: We are honored to once again collaborate with Honor, weaving our signature haute couture vision into the creation of the new Honor Magic V Flip 2. The back cover features an exquisite crystal inlay, where cutting-edge innovation meets the timeless artistry of crystal to create a dazzling interplay of light with every graceful fold and unfold. This masterpiece is crafted to celebrate the brilliance of women, an invitation to shine with elegance and confidence. The full story will be revealed soon. Stay tuned.”
Reports suggest the Magic V Flip 2 will feature a 6.8-inch LTPO main display alongside a 4-inch LTPO high refresh rate cover screen. Powering the device could be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, built on TSMC’s 4nm process.
It is the same chip found in performance-driven models like the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro, iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro, iQOO Neo 10 (India), and Oppo K13 Turbo Pro.
According to leaks, the Magic V Flip 2 will house a 5,500mAh battery with 80W wired charging, setting a new benchmark for battery capacity in small foldable phones in 2025. The device is also expected to be lighter and thinner than its predecessor, potentially weighing around 190 grams and measuring under 7mm when unfolded.
In China, the first-generation Magic V Flip debuted at a starting price of 4,999 yuan (around $700), and the new model is expected to follow a similar pricing structure.
