At a post-launch press conference, OnePlus China’s President Li Jie announced that the new OnePlus 13 had already set a record of selling more than 100,000 units within just 30 minutes of its release. As per reports, the OnePlus 13’s base model (12GB + 256GB) comes with a price increase over its predecessor the OnePlus 12, which was priced at 4,299 CNY (around $600 or INR 50,480). The new model, on the other hand, is priced at 4,499 CNY (around $630 or INR 53,004). Addressing the price jump, Li Jie explained that consumers are keeping phones for longer periods now. This is encouraging brands such as OnePlus to develop devices that are even higher in price but offer better performance in the long run. “Our priority is to make great products,” Li Jie stated. Li Jie also shed light on factors contributing to the price increase of the OnePlus 13. These factors include increasing chip costs such as the case with high-performance Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
