This latest development comes after a similar feature was discovered in a beta update last year, suggesting that the company is experimenting with different ways to allow chat history transfer. As tweeted by WABetaInfo, a popular and unofficial WhatsApp news portal, the transfer chat history feature can be viewed on the beta version of the app on Android- version 2.24.13.6. This feature, as of now anyway, is made available only for Android users in the said beta version but it's not clear as of yet whether or not Apple will spawn the feature for iOS. However, given that WhatsApp on iOS uses iCloud for backing up chat history, the feature should be useful for iOS devices as well, although there are no details yet on when it might be introduced for Apple's platform. WhatsApp Enhances Video Calling Experience The messaging app will help you migrate chat history without using Google Drive Apart from the chat history migration feature, WhatsApp has also confirmed a number of upgrades for its video calling feature. Most significantly, up to 32 people will now be able to participate in a video call from any device. Also, video calls on WhatsApp now allow screen sharing with audio so that users can easily do so during video calls. The next to be introduced is the "speaker spotlight" feature where the person speaking would automatically be highlighted and his image shown on the screen.
