Apple has officially scheduled its “awe dropping” event for September 9. Cupertino Giant is expected to unveil the new iPhone 17 lineup alongside the next generation of Apple Watches during the event. While the company hasn’t confirmed the product names yet, reports suggest that the event will introduce the Apple Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, and an updated Watch SE. A new report now suggests that the Watch Series 11 is coming with a major change in the display department.
According to a recent Bloomberg report, the Apple Watch Series 11 will feature a brighter screen compared to the Series 10’s 1.96-inch panel. The new model is said to reach a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.

Along with this, Apple is expected to refresh its lineup of watch bands and colour options. It will also address the durability issues faced by the Series 10’s Jet Black variant, which had problems with chipping.
The upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 3, which will succeed the Watch Ultra 2 launched in 2023, could feature a display as large as the Series 10’s 1.96-inch screen or even larger. For reference, the Watch Ultra 2 came with a 1.92-inch display.
Beyond the size upgrade, the third-generation Ultra is rumoured to be powered by a new S11 chip, while also adding support for 5G RedCap connectivity. Additionally, satellite connectivity for text messaging is said to be part of the package, making it more versatile for outdoor and emergency use.
Apple is also expected to update its affordable Watch SE lineup. The next-gen Watch SE could arrive with a newer display and a faster processor, giving users a more capable entry-level smartwatch experience.
If the leaks are accurate, Apple’s September 9 event will not only bring the iPhone 17 series but also significant upgrades across its smartwatch range.
