Apple watch 8 likely to be equipped with this health sensors and features, check details

US-based tech giant Apple which will launch the Apple Watch 8 by fall this year is likely to add some much-awaited features, at least on the health front. According to report, the Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to have significant upgrade as compared to the Apple Watch Series 7.

Apple’s Watch Series 8 is expected to be launched along with the iPhone 14 series in September. MacBook with the M2 chipset is also expected to be launched this year. According to report, Apple has reportedly started testing them as well. However, the MacBook launch usually takes place as a separate event.

According to Mark Gurman, the upcoming Apple Watch 8 is expected to have new health sensors and features such as body temperature’ sensor. The upcoming Apple Watch 8 is likely to have significant improvements in terms of upgrades as compared to existing Apple Watch Series 7.

Gurman also claims that the blood pressure sensor will be added by 2024 or 2025. However, there is no update about blood-sugar monitoring sensor in Apple watch.

An improved version of the atrial fibrillation detection feature is also expected to be offered in the Apple Watch Series 8. This feature allows to calculate how often someone is in a state of atrial fibrillation over a certain period.

Low power mode

The reported low power mode will allow some apps and features to work. However, anything concreate on this is yet to be confirmed. Currently, low power mode only shows the clock.

The low power mode is meant for emergency use to send short messages or an SOS when a user is in distress and has no cellular access.

Apple will also reportedly add new “sleep, women’s health and medication tracking features in the iPhone Health app,” along with “new workouts and watch faces

Meanwhile, Apple will hold its WWDC 2022 conference from June 6 where it will showcase the latest software versions for iOS, watchOS, macOS, etc.
