Ai+ has officially started the sale of its latest affordable 5G smartphone, the Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra, in India. The device was launched last week in the country and comes with a large battery, high-refresh-rate AMOLED display and a MediaTek chipset. The sale of the Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G began on April 17 in India exclusively via Flipkart.
The smartphone is priced at ₹16,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model is available for ₹18,999. During the initial sale period, the company is offering a flat ₹2,000 discount bringing the effective starting price down to ₹14,999.
The device comes in multiple colour options including Black, Blue, Green, Purple and Red.
Alongside the Nova 2 Ultra, Ai+ has also introduced the Nova 2 5G in India. This more affordable model starts at ₹8,999 for the base model and is powered by the Unisoc T8200 processor.
The Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2772 x 1272 pixels. The punch-hole display supports a 144Hz refresh rate and delivers up to 2500 nits of peak brightness. It is protected by a dedicated glass layer and the phone also includes dedicated gaming buttons integrated into the side frame.
It runs on Android 16 with NxtQ OS layered on top and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 octa-core processor built on a 4nm process and clocked at up to 2.6GHz. The device uses LPDDR4x RAM ensuring smooth multitasking performance.
For photography, the Nova 2 Ultra 5G sports a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony IMX752 primary sensor with LED flash and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, the smartphone is equipped with a 13MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The device packs a 6000mAh battery paired with 40W fast charging support for quicker power top-ups. It also comes with an IP68 rating that ensures the phone can function normally even after being submerged in water at a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
