It appears the upcoming standard iPhone 18 could get a redesigned rear camera module, if the newly surfaced images are to be believed. The alleged iPhone 18 CAD drawings show a wider camera module, while separate leaks suggest that the phone could launch in five colour options.
It is important to note that the leaked images have not been verified and could be AI-generated or fan-made renders as well. Apple has yet to confirm the phone’s design, specifications or launch timeline.
iPhone 18 Leaked Images Reveal Redesigned Camera Module

The alleged iPhone 18 images suggest that the phone could feature a wider, horizontally oriented camera module across the upper portion of its rear panel. Different from predecessor, the module appears to house two vertically stacked cameras alongside an LED flash and additional sensors.
While the camera module itself looks wider, the phone is still expected to feature a dual rear camera setup with no dedicated telephoto camera.
Separate tipster posts have also suggested that the base iPhone 18 could adopt a camera module design similar to the one expected on Apple’s Pro models. However, this detail remains unconfirmed and it is unclear whether the images accurately represent Apple’s final design.
The leaked images also suggest that Apple could introduce multiple colour options for the iPhone 18. Early reports mentioned white, pink and dark blue finishes. Tipster AppleBuu @MajinBuofficia on X, subsequently posted images showing yellow and green colour options as well. The rumoured colour options now include –
- Yellow
- Green
- Blue
- White
- Pink
What Does Leaked iPhone 18 CAD Sketch Reveal?
An alleged CAD drawing of the iPhone 18 has surfaced online, offering a closer look at the phone’s possible dimensions, camera placement, side profiles and overall design through a 3D view.
The drawing appears to show a wider rear camera module with two cameras arranged vertically inside it.
However, there is no confirmation that the CAD drawing originated from Apple or its supply chain. It could be a fan-made concept or a fabricated render, so the design should be treated with caution.

Standard iPhone 18 Launch Timeline
It has been reported earlier that Apple is planning to change its iPhone launch schedule. After launching its premium models in fall 2026, the standard iPhone 18 could be launched separately in spring 2027 instead of launching the entire lineup together in the second half of the year.
Tipster AppleBuu has also claimed that the standard model is preparing for a spring 2027 debut and has reportedly entered pre-production. Separately, industry-related reports cited by MyDrivers suggest that production could begin in late November.
Notably, these reports have not been officially confirmed by Apple. We can expect more updates to surface online as the official launch approaches.
